                                     The playground

1 )   We are situated in a rural area where the cows wonder around and on the school playground because of the obsolete fence. A cow is usually a peaceful animal but it is still a large animal, and create a potential danger for the children.

2 ) Play helps the children to grow and learn. When they play, they learn to use different parts of their bodies so that they become stronger and skillful. They exercise their mind, learn to share and co-operate and communicate with each other.

         We need to improve the playground. This large surface needs to be filled up with entertaining and physical games.

 The jungle gym is old and needs to be renovated.

 We need shadow areas and a sand pit, outdoor toys that children can pull or push.

          Indoor we have two playrooms for three classes. They lack of fantasy toys, blocks and shelves or boxes to tidy up.

An annex building waiting to be turned into an amazing creche

In this building we would like to create two new classrooms for the Creche (45 children). The left part of the front side will be turn into toilets and the veranda will be closed up to create a place for the morning ring and play time. Plans have been made but nothing has happened since January 2014!

Our primary classes double every year and we need to expand the school. Also, in order to register the creche with the department of social development we need to separate the creche from the primary. This registration is crucial because it will make the creche sustainable financially.
